Bertie Titley joins our lab as a Part II student!

October 2023

Bertie will work together with Lee to explore changes in rice carbon metabolism induced by AM fungi.

Leo Li joins our lab as a Master's student!

October 2023

Leo will spend a year in our lab to investigate how carbon allocation to AM fungi is regulated by symbiotic nutrient uptake.

Isobel Magrath joins our lab as a PhD student!

October 2023

Isobel received the prestigious Harding Scholarship from the University of Cambridge to carry out her PhD research in the Luginbuehl lab.

The Luginbuehl Lab receives the Isaac Newton Seed Fund

September 2023

We received a £50K Isaac Newton Seed Fund to trace and quantify carbon in Medicago truncatula during the interaction with beneficial microbes.

The Luginbuehl Lab receives a Royal Society Research Grant

September 2023

We received a £65K research grant to set up key experimental techniques for the study of carbon allocation during AM symbiosis.

Lee Cackett joins our lab as a postdoc!

April 2023

Lee is the first postdoc to join the Luginbuehl lab! She will use her expertise in the regulation of chloroplast development and photosynthesis in leaves to investigate if we can engineer plants with enhanced mycorrhizal interactions by increasing carbon allocation to the fungi.

The Luginbuehl Lab opens!

September 2022

Excited to dive back into the world of arbuscular mycorrhiza, our doors open at the Department of Plant Sciences in Cambridge!
